On Thursday facebook started testing a system for a large number of subscribers to submit a government ID, to prove if they really are, who they say they are. The update makes it easier for subscribers to connect to celebrities and other public figures. Unlike twitter, facebook requires people to register their real name. Facebook allows subscriptions for 5 months. It lets users share information or subscribe to there feeds, even if there not friends with them.
